Lyle Bensley of Gavelston, TX was taken to county jail after biting a woman. Galveston Officer Daniel Erickson reports, “He was begging us to restrain him because he didn’t want to kill us. He said he needed to be fed.” Bensley, 19, forced his way into a woman’s apartment early Saturday morning with the intent to assault her.  Only wearing boxers, he enters the bedroom and begins making growling and hissing noises, biting and hitting the woman while she was in her bed.  The victim was able to get to safety, escaping to the parking lot and locking herself in her neighbor’s car.

Once officers arrived on the scene, Bensley informed officers: “I’m a vampire, and I’ve been alive for over 500 years.” Emergency medical personnel have said that Bensley did not appear to be under the influence of drugs.
