FDA INSISTS SILICONE BREAST IMPLANTS ARE SAFE-ISH
06.28.11

After banning silicone breast implants in the early ’90s, the FDA let them back into the market five years ago and stand behind the claim that silicone impants are not hazardous to your health. Their impact on human health have been poorly studied, but the FDA says  ”despite frequent local complications and adverse outcomes, the benefits and risks of breast implants are sufficiently well understood for women to make well informed decisions about their use.” Not too convincing or settling, but everything should be fine. Maybe.
